... in all the mountains there was a forging and an arming. Then they marched ... Middle-earth is to face one of the greatest battle of the third age. 23.11 is the anniversary of the Battle of the Five Armies and we will celebrate it with battles of 800 point armies (good or bad).

WHAT RULES TO USE:
Tournament is played using the latest rulebook of Middle-Earth Strategy battle Game.
All Games-Workshop’s official printed rules publications and the legendary legions they contain are in use. We also follow the current FAQ and Errata publications.
Profiles that can only be found in SBG-Magazine, Legions of Middle-Earth or White Dwarf are not allowed in the tournament. However, profiles shared on the GW or Forge World websites that have not yet been published in books may be used.
ROUND TIME: The duration of the rounds is 2h 15minutes. A new round may not be started if there are 15 minutes or less of game time left. Smooth gameplay is desirable and it is also worth considering the game tactics that the game time is limited!
SCENARIOS & HOUSE RULES: Scenarios are randomly selected from pools in the Matched Play Guide. However, only one scenario from each pool. (After this, the pool in question is “used.”)
Tides of maelstorm: Instead of normal Maelstrom where you deploy your whole army on your first movement turn, players alternate after every deployed warband. Both players roll D6 and the player who rolls higher starts this deployment and deploys one of his warband with Maelstorm of Battle deployment rules. When this has been done, their opponent then does the same. Players then alternate until all warbands have been deployed. After this, the game advances normally from the shooting phase.
Storm the Camp: Deployment for the Storm the Camp scenario will be 24 inches; camp remains 12 inches. Points for determining whether the Camp has been captured will be worked out at the end of the game.
Seize the Prize: The game will end when one force hits 25%, and not if the prize leaves the board.
Heirlooms of Ages Past scoring changes: You score 5 VPs if your force is in possession of the relic at the end of the game. If at the end of the game your force doesn’t hold the Heirloom (but the other one does), or if neither of the forces holds the relic, 3 VPs can be scored if you have more models within 3 inches of the relic (or enemy relic-bearer) than the opposition.
You score 1 VP if the enemy force is Broken at the end of the game. If the enemy force is Broken and your force is unbroken, you instead score 3 VPs.
PAIRING:
The pairs of the first round are randomly drawn. After that, pairs are formed using the Swiss method from BCP system.
SCORING:
Winning 3 tournament points Draw: 1 tournament points.
Loss: 0 tournament points.
(Scoring might a a little different depending on BCP scoring system but the principle is the same.)
SECRETLY SELECTING YOUR OATHS:
Players have four Oaths to choose from. However before each game, both players discard one of their opponents Oaths. Then players can pick one of their remaining Oaths. Players don’t show their Oaths until the end of the game. Then your opponents must verify if the Oath criteria
has been met.
Before players roll to choose deployment zones or for Priority in the first turn but after other Objectives markers have been placed, the player with the lowest number of models in their army places Special objective- marker on the battlefield (roll-off if equal amount of models). In scenarios with a centre line, the Objective must be placed anywhere within 9” of the centre line of the board, at least 6" away from any existing Objective and board edge. In Maelstrom scenarios, the Objective must be placed anywhere 9” from the centre of the board but at least 6" away from any existing Objective. This must be done regardless of whether this Oath is chosen or not.
Oaths:
1) Master Tactician
If you have at least three times many models within 3" of the Special objective- marker or you are the only player to have models within 3" of this Special objective- marker at the end of the game, you score this Oath.
2) Send A Message
The most expensive enemy model (include wargear in their points cost) has been killed (or fled) that is NOT their Leader. If the most expensive model is part of two Hero models brought together (e.g. Elladan & Elrohir) then you must kill both to score this Oath. If there are two models
tied for most expensive model that is not their leader, you achieve this Oath if you kill either.
3) Duelist
Have your Leader wound the enemy Leader in combat. If your Leader is wounded or killed by the
enemy Leader in combat, do not score this Oath.
4) Behind Enemy Lines
At the start of the game secretly note down one of your own Hero models (not your Leader unless you only have one Hero) or ”Warriors” (without nominating them).
4.1) You score this Oath if when the game ends, your nominated Hero is within 3” of your opponent’s board edge. In scenarios where you deploy in the corner, your nominated hero must be the closest model to your opponent’s deployment corner. In Maelstrom missions, use objective markers to mark the point where Leaders moved onto the battlefield. Again, your score this Oath if at the end of the game, your nominated Hero is closer to this point than any enemy models.
4.2) If you noted down ”Warriors” instead of nominating a Hero. You score this Oath if you have at least 3 times as many warrior models than enemy warrior models within 3” of the stated points above.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
* Always ask permission before handling opponents dice, tools or miniatures.
* Roll your dice openly and let your opponent confirm the results.
* If dice tray is used, only dice landing inside are concidered results. Reroll extras.
* With rules questions try to figure out it with your opponent. If impossible, ask Pelikrypta's Daniel or Vesa. If still unclear or the game is hindered decide result randomly with d6.
* Proxies? If it looks what is should be, it is ok. Space Marine is not an elf archer. Blob of hot glue is nothing.
* Wysiwyg. Not every weapon of unit must match, but it should always be clear enough your opponent knows what they are fighting against.
